Well, I took a picture of my MESSY desk last week just at the perfect time because of Cara’s contest!

But when I went over this morning to vote the embarrassment kicked in and I got busy. So here’s the “after” shot. We’ll see how long that lasts, huh?

Cleaner

Anyone got any ideas for all those WIRES?  That just drives me bananas!!!

Nice! Come clean mine now? If you find the answer for the cords, let me know. Since I must place my tower on my desk and it’s so big I have to have it away from the wall, it leaves an eyesore of cords for people that sit at the front of of my desk to talk to me while I type. :-(

I could really use a grammar editor to check comments before I post as well. LOL

  3. Annette, looking good! Now yours looks much better than mine! ;)

    An awesome recovery Annette :)

Nice improvement!! I got started on mine, too, but now I have piles on the floor…not sure if that counts as “improvement” or not!

As for the wires, in the past I’ve seen this plastic flexible tube that had a slit down one side, the idea being it wraps around all those loose wires. Of course, then you have this black tube-thing on your desk…

Good Job!! I hate wires to:( I wrap them into a bundle like they are when you buy them, leaving out just exactly enough to reach as needed, and then wrap a twist tie around them to keep them together.

Um… that black tube thing sounds much nicer than the eyesore I currently have on my desk. I need one! lol

That IS much better! I think you’re winning the contest ;)

You might try zip ties for your cords. You’d be surprised how much better those cords will look if they are grouped/tied together.

    Looks great!! :-)

My husband uses zip ties, he gathers the cords into a figure 8, puts on a zip tie and cuts off the excess tie. It works nicely.

I just found your blog and really like it.
