I love our cats. They’re really sweet precious little things and just having them around really does bring joy to us here at home. But then, I’ve always been a cat lover so it’s no surprise.

Basha has been a part of our home now for over 14 years. I told her story HERE and yesterday posted some pictures of her for Wordless Wednesday.

She’s a spoiled thing. Since she’s old she spends about 99.8367% of her days sleeping or wanting me to hold her. The other % she’s eating, using the little box facilities or begging for our food. Her particular favorite human food is ice cream. So much so that if we go to visit the Dairy Queen in the summer and come home, she can spot the red plastic spoon in the paper cup a mile away and come bolting (well it’s more like waddling now - she walks like a raccoon) to check it out.

Then she’ll sit on the very edge of the coffee table, put her ears perked forward, tip her head and reach up with her front paws like she’s raising her hand up for her turn at a bite. It’s so cute!

The pictures I posted here are her other favorite treat - milk or cream - which she enjoys tapping out of the cup with her paw. She’ll dip her paw into what’s left of the cup and then lick it clean, then go back for another dip and lick. It’s really cute. We discovered this about her once when the kids were pretty little and I accidentally left their milk cups out as I went to put them down for a nap. I started down the stairs and saw Basha up on the dining room table dipping her paw happily in their cups. Spoiled cat.
