Andrea Boccelli

At Costco the other day I walked by the audio/video section and thought I’d see if there was something interesting to get. As most of you know we’re not much for watching TV but occasionally a good DVD will catch my eye and we’ll either borrow from the library, rent it or buy it. I found this DVD there:

So I thought, “hmm… let’s give that a try.” I pulled it out of the case on the way home because it also is a CD with some of the songs from the concert on it. Not too bad but I was disappointed that there was so much “drum” in there - I thought it really watered down the songs.

I’m going to watch the DVD tonight so I’ll let you know if it’s any better. I have a really hard time going to bed when hubs is traveling so I need the diversion. Maybe the drums will lull me to sleep? Either way, you’ll have to admit that Andrea Bocelli has such a beautiful voice. I love listening to a good Tenor. Here’s a youtube video of Andrea singing “The Prayer” with Celine Dion. I don’t know how many years the two of them have performed this song together… a lot I’m sure. Plus I know he’s also sung it many times with other singers like Sarah Brightman and Charlotte Church. Gotta wonder if he ever gets tired of it?
